Experience

As managing director at Mariner Advisor Network, Paul Abdenour leads the firm’s business development efforts with a focus on recruiting advisor teams and small institutions seeking greater independence and scale. With more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry, Paul has held senior roles in sales and business development at firms including Zacks Investment Management, UBS, Clark Capital, Wilshire, Symmetry Partners, and most recently, Mount Yale.

Paul is passionate about empowering financial advisors to build businesses on their own terms. He combines deep industry knowledge with a strategic mindset and a robust professional network to help advisors transition successfully and thrive in an evolving wealth management landscape. His approach centers on cultivating lasting partnerships, grounded in trust and aligned growth.

Paul holds an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in organizational studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
