Jason, one of the original cofounders of Mariner Wealth Advisors in 2006, is part of the corporate development team that leads the efforts for the strategic lift-out of advisors and teams, assessing and identifying key talent for recruiting, as well as helping lead RIA firm acquisitions across the U.S.

Jason has always been part of the financial services industry. Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, he served as a senior vice president at A.G. Edwards & Sons. At Mariner Wealth Advisors, he was not only a cofounder in the early days, but a partner and senior wealth consultant.

He went on to become managing director of national sales at Montage Investments. Backed by Mariner Holdings, Montage Investments was a company with more than 12 alternative asset managers under its wing. Before rejoining Mariner Wealth Advisors in 2020, Jason was head of distribution at Tortoise Capital Advisors.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Pittsburg State University and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee.

Going beyond his work experience, Jason believes in community service. He is currently on the board of directors for the Band of Angels. He is also a former board member of the Salvation Army, YMCA, the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce and the United Way.
